I was in the bee yard over the lunch hour and was amazed to see the level of activity of the Russian hybrid hive. The bees were congregating near the upper entrance and were flying off to find the last bits of pollen. The weather conditions were partly sunny and 50F. Meanwhile, the four Italian hives were content to stay at home, taking a siesta. I put the last of the feed on for the year (late as usual) and will put the insulated lids on in a week or two.
