Stump the Chump on Montana Ag Live

Tune into Montana PBS Sunday evening at 6 pm (Yes a new time slot for MAL) to catch the season premier with yours truly. I'm going to attempt a honey tasting with honeys from around the Gallatin Valley and we will talking about honey harvesting, processing and marketing. Call in with questions and stump the chump.
Post Script: The show was fun and hopefully informative. The most fun came after the cameras were turned off and the KUSM crew swarmed the jars of honey used for the honey tasting. It was great to hear comments about which honey had the strongest floral scent. One was described as 'smoky' and another as 'green'.

After the show, moderator Don Mathre handed me a question that was called in from Darby, MT: "In our neighborhood we have several bee hives. Our problem is that the bees seem to be attracted to dog urine - even before it hits the ground! (poor dogs!) What can we do?"

Hmmm.   Probably only letting the dogs out at night isn't a practical solution....

Post Script 2:  If you really don't have anything better to do with your time, click here to watch this episode.
