The Xerces Society is dedicated to the protection of native pollinators. They produce some outstanding publications for farmers and gardeners on how to make their land more attractive to pollinators. Many common garden practices (even organic) are detrimental to pollinators. A good starting place is to read their publication Farming for Bees: Guidelines for Providing Native Bee Habitat on Farms.
