National Almond Day

Today is National Almond Day. The vast majority of Montana's commercial beekeepers take their bees to California to pollinate almonds. Of the one million colonies required to pollinate the almond crop, over 100,000 are from Montana. Pollination rental fees surpass the income from honey sales.
